Cocoa Bomb.png

Our giftable spin on these beautiful hot cocoa bombs pairs decadent dark chocolate shells with homemade, healthier hot cocoa mix.

Don’t be intimidated by melting and molding your own chocolate spheres in this totally DIY-able holiday craft. You can do it!

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, coconut sugar and sea salt. Set aside.

  2. Follow these steps to make your chocolate bombs, replacing the store-bought cocoa mix in step 9 with 1.5 Tbsp of your homemade mix.

  3. Fill the piping bag with the remainder of your melted chocolate. One by one, drizzle over your finished bombs, then embellish with sprinkles.

To use: Place bomb in a mug or other heat-safe vessel. Slowly pour 8oz of dairy or non-dairy milk over the bomb. Stir and enjoy!

PS: You don’t have to use dark chocolate to make your bombs - try white or milk for a softer twist, reducing the coconut sugar by 1 Tbsp.

You need (makes 6):

For the bombs:

Candy thermometer
1.5 cups good quality dark chocolate (keep it vegan with these!)
Silicone mold
1-2 Tbsp Natural Sprinkles
Piping bag

For the cocoa filling:

6 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 Tbsp coconut sugar
About 30 mini marshmallows
1/4 tsp sea salt
